The Drugstore Magazines
One of the side discoveries of the research on the Utah Druggists was finding the trade magazines from the early 1900s. These publications were hundreds of pages and had everything about the Drug store business at the time. They tried to keep track of ALL the drugstores in the country and what they were doing in each state. My interest has always been in the patent medicines because they were inexpensive and wildly interesting because they could cure anything and got away with it until the pure food and drug act of 1906. Much to my surprise, these magazines were filled with ads for the bottles I had dug and collected. The following were a few that I reviewed.

In one of the magazines was a Utah Pharmaceutical Convention in the early 1900's. You will recognize some of the names.
